You know that these diamond-patterned seats really make me regret buying a car with a decent interior...
Seriously. My choice has gone from a nice, clean, original car to a justifiable basket-case, mostly just to deck it out with most of your interior offerings, especially that dam "stupid Americans" type cup-holder center console thingie...

Interesting story about that!!
It turns out that after a respray of the front half of the GTS the 'tradesman' replaced the rubber trim on the doors, back-to-front. This left the 'gap' in the rubber for the triangles where that image has them. Not knowing any different, the 'tradesman' (I'll assume apparently not seeking additional help from a supervisor) simply 'glued' the triangles in that new and novel location and said nothing about it!
When I picked up the GTS I was so taken with the new paint job (they did do an excellent job) I completely missed this new triangle location.
So it was, this week while doing some tinkering that I ran my hand across the door frame. The triangle came loose, cut me and almost fell into my hand! Showing this anomoly to my mechanic it became instantly apparent the mistake made.
I took the GTS back last Friday and showed them the mistake. They brought out the 'tradesman' (all of 19yo) and showed the youngster the correct location. The job was repaired that afternoon with great apologies from the company for the error. Funny story, happy ending.
We certainly did this wekend!

That's a better story than my futile attempt to replace the triangle on the passenger door.
Looked at the piece. Got my phillips screwdriver ready. And the damn thing just would not thread into the door frame. Then looked closer at the door. And there was already a philips screw in there.
So how the triangle piece fell out I don't know. Only guess is that the old piece had fractured somehow and left the screw in the door.
Must be fun having to pull out the door trim and reinstall on both doors.
