The owner wanted to keep the original look of the non leather cork color dash so I did it in cork vinyl without adding the defroster vent trim pieces and eliminated the French seam.
It still required a deck seam on both ends so the material would meet the contours but it looks good and the customer is very happy.

That looks really great, I like how you can do the vinyl and not have the seam across the front like the leather dash's. Keeps it looking original. Great work.

Why wouldn't the owner be happy, that workmanship is unbelievable.
Nice work Rob!

Rob,
I am very happy and thank you for the fast turn around.
I am restoring some early cars and wanted to maintain the stock vinyl dash with no seams.
Rob was the only person that could do this AFAIK.
The only other alternative is seams or leather with seams.
Thank you.

Does it have the "Do It Yourself" manual transmission, or the superior "Fully Equipped by Porsche" Automatic Transmission?

Very nice. One question though. Wouldn't the air from the vents eventually lift the material glued in the vents? Especially with the warm defroster air.
