Any Motorcycle Riders Here?

Post up a pic or two.... Love the old BMW airheads..
My 1974 BMW R90/6 has been sitting since someone T-boned me on it 5 years ago. Someone driving by convinced me that I should sell it if I'm not repairing it. We put a gentleman's stipulation in the agreement of sale that if he was ever going to sell it after he fixed it that he should call me first to offer me first right of refusal. I said goodbye thinking I may not hear from him within a few years if ever. He called me 6 weeks later (3 weeks ago) to say he was almost finished with it and wanted to know if I wanted it back. I did. I asked what it was going to cost me. He said: "My purchase price plus the cost of the parts ($1800 with receipts) that he put into it. WHAT?!? NO LABOR?? WHY NOT? I asked. He said he can't put a price on his labor so he doesn't and that repairing bikes is his therapy. Can you believe it? This labor even included cutting and re-welding the slightly damaged frame and reinforcing the steering yoke better than BMW did it. He then shot the frame black. He never even transferred the title after I signed it. He just handed it back to me.
Needless to say I am in heaven right now about this.
Keep the rubber side down!!!!

I certainly wouldn't want to be t-boned on any bike, but if I had to choose it'd be an old airhead. Those jugs can protect better than any highway bar.
Just ask my brother.

Ouch ! I got "T" Boned a few years back on my 2000 Road King. 14 fractures in my rib cage, a few skin grafts, etc. Rebuilt the bike, drove it for a few more years ,and then sold it. T

Don't believe I've posted these yet:
Check out the JT Racing Chest protector, what a museum piece!
Same rider, same bike, many years later, annual Father's Day dirt bike ride with friends - check out who has the holeshot inside line (and the only two stroke in the line up). How times. change...

So how about the BMW R60/5 or R75/5? Any of you own these?
I understand the R90's are the way to go... are more collectible, but they're a touch too modern and more power than I need.
I kinda like the vintage feel of the early 70's R75 with the speedometer in the headlight, rubber tank pads, short handlebars, no side cowls....
And the prices are reasonable!

Any size is awesome. Gotta love the perfect 180 degree opposed cylinders for smooth power delivery and minimal wear on moving parts. As perfect as an internal combustion mechanical powerplant gets.
