You have gotta' love Busa's, pump gas and daily rider reliability with that much horsepower!

BTW, the locals are going in on a group purchase of Life Insurance for me, like playing the lottery in their opinion with better odds.
Local speed freak had a turbo 'busa. Said the most fun was popping wheelies at 160+mph. We were putting together a similar collection for his policy too.

Then he dropped dead from a massive heart attack while at home.

His crazy antics didn't seam so crazy anymore.

Life it short, kick it in the *** and have some fun. Even if it means waking up on the sidewalk in Las Vegas wearing a bunny suit with a baby monkey hand-cuffed to your ankle.

For 3 years had a Yamaha RZ500, V4, 2 stroke. Too bad they were never sold in the States, as they were some wild bikes! A real giant killer.
Never finished my RZ500 bought it as a parts bike had it together needed more work and someone offered a RZ350 US model in really nice shape that was before I bought the RG500.
I was at a show in Paris Ontario years ago was a really nice motorcycle show there.

I was raised on scooters and had a great little independent shop in Deep Elum in Dallas for a few years. Tons of fun..just too crazy and no money. I was lucky enough to babysit Billy Gibbons' bike for a couple years. Just about crashed it once...way scary fast... Gramps took a picture of me and my brother on his 47 Knucklehead...looked for it but can't lay my hands on it.

Sold my road King about four years ago. Stilll have a hand built (my hands) Pan/Shovel (56/81) and am willing to sell if anyone's interested. Just can't bare to part it out. $6,000 - bike is in St. Louis.

Paris is very close to me. Less than 30 miles. Must have been held at the fairgrounds.

That's too bad that you didn't have a chance to finish it. The 500 is an animal compared to the little 350. Never had a chance to ride a Gamma 500 but it should be pretty much the same as the RZ. Was it?

We raced the RZ350 extensively; in fact there was a series in Canada but unfortunately in did not translate to the 500. The RG500 was a different beast and raced succesfully against the 600s and some 750s of the day.

Got pics somewhere in the boxes...........let me look. I alaways loved the lightweight screaming 2 strokes.

Ontario and Niagara Falls area in Canada is so much nicer than on our side. That had to be back in the late 90's when I went to Paris for the show. The RZ and RG are close the Yamaha might be approx 50lbs heavier and maybe 10horse less.Think they were both 11second street bikes back in mid 1980's that was good.Gamma was around 11.4's and Yamaha maybe 11.8 area.
Stil have the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle hat from when I went there.
Gamma was advertised as 406lbs wet with 96horse at crank they claimed 11.37 in 1/4 mile with 140lb rider.
Here the pictues of the motor on the RG500

Currently, my street bike is an Aprilia Tuono, '03 model. Comfortable, fast, and great handling bike:

I have an '05 GSXR that I use for my track bike now. I used to race in the 600cc class ("C" Production) a long time ago... but now I just love doing a few track days during the year:

I really got into the Supermoto riding a while back. I've got an '03 YZF450 for that use:

My wife has a 08 Ninja 250:

Previous bikes included: '00 YZ426F Supermoto, '98 VFR800 Pearl White and trick!, '97 YZF1000R Thunderace Track tool (RIP), '88 VTR250 Interceptor, '00 CBR929RR Streetfighter, '99 CBR600F4 Racebike, '89 CB-1 CB400F, '98 VFR800 red, '93 CBR600F2 Race bike, '87 ZX1000R Ninja, '84 KZ700A, '91 ZX6 New, '89 EX500 New, '87 EX250 Ninja, and an '80 XL185S
