Rinty, Left hand drive all guages are metric. Euro vs Row? From my short time on the list I would think Euro is a good thing.

Euro vs ROW.............RHD & LHD............exhaust systems and sound deadening. Not sure how the sales were divided but if you look on the 928 Specialists site you can view global sales and US sales (not sure if these would include Canadas small contribution).

The chinook is here..............+9C this aft..............I believe I might have to sit on the deck and have a beer.

Is it an auto Ole? If so you need to be aware of thrust bearing failure (TBF).

Great point Mike............regardless of where the car was originally exported to the auto transmission can cause premature catastrophic engine failure....read this:

Drive it.............if the weather holds I go as far as the owner will allow.............back roads to Canmore on the 1A & return. See how it starts in Canmore and when back in Ctown.

Classic symptoms are good quick crank/start when cold.............very slow/no crank when hot.

Mike may have more specifics..............sparkling oil on the dip stick?

Ole..........I sent you a PM.

I'm getting off topic with TBF but my wife pointed out to me that we had a long inspection with the car running for at least an hour. It was shut off at least twice and started without any problem but I will take the advice and revisit cold and warm starting on my next inspection.

The engine running is far different to driving where all the loads are applied.

Drive the car and then evaluate.

...back roads to Canmore...
You may have to have an extensive evaluation of the car at the Rafter 6 Ranch before finalizing your purchase decision (an earlier deliberation):
