the 928 block isn't so heavy, could've used a custom crank to fix oiling issues, custom whatever if it was being built from scratch to fix all the bad OEM habits.

still, a crate motor seems like it'd be an easier choice, unless they just didn't want any cheby parts in there to justify the price... "yes it's a supercar, only super car parts in there", hahaha

Stay tuned for some very exciting news in the next 2 months! One of the upsides of today's economy is that some of the Big Boys are now willing to do small production runs for folks like me.

Keep an eye on this website, www.928blackbird.com , there are already a few subtle hints there as to what is coming :-)

how in the heck can you tell. Obviously some kind of custom mount at the flywheel bell housing area, and after that, all you can kind of see is where the CV joints attach, right?

very cool

Also I'm curious about the advertised horsepower, 617 hp, I see no evidence of intercoolers, I would expect you would some sort of charge cooling for that sort of output.

Still, interesting choice of power plant/ driveline

Mark just look at the cable shifter ..two axis two cable just to move the shift rod on the front of the trans makes it clear that it is NOT a 911 trans....
