True

But i notice when a guy with a 996 with aero package puts GT3 badges on the decklid. Or when BMW owners slap on ///M badges all over the car.

I had thought that with the GT, I would widen the fenders, replace the bumpercover and when i added the designation i would simply leave the S off and be stuck with " 928 GT" in the typical 928 GTS script style.

The GTS rear end really is much more modern then the really kinda 80's embossed "P O R S C H E" that appears on the S4 and GT.

oh that reminds me of the goofballs that put "V8" badges on their S-Class

I know the V12's have a badge and now Audi puts "V8" badges on some of their cars but I think its pretty tacky honestly.

WOW cant imagine what i would say to the guy that put 5 "928 GTS" badges on an OB

NASTY!

That was my point it is a very small % of the population who really are "car guys" the vast majority would do well to notice that it is white not black....neat car in many ways. Stuffing a big engine in a "small" car is always exciting

It's basically like when a wife or girlfriend asks if you noticed the (name some expensive women's designer here) shoes that somebody who just walked by was wearing. "Uhhh...were they white? She was wearing two of them... right?"

I prefer Model Designation Delete.

I don't need no stinkin' badges.

I am the anti-poser.

I know what I have and I don't really give a **** if anyone else knows.

But Jim, the thing i notice too, is that if a car guy knows and can spot a fake, but a non car person doesnt realize its a fake, they also dont realize what the badge is meant to imply. Like the 996's that have GT3 badges, a person that knows a GT3, wont be fooled, those that would be fooled have no idea what a GT3 is or any idea if its good or bad or anything, so i say why bother!

Those that would be impressed by "GT3" know its a fake, those that wont know if its a fake would never be impressed by a badge that says "GT3" so what do you gain? i guess its for some self serving purpose but then your only fooling yourself! SO YEAH TOTAL POSER with the fake badging!

Adding wider fenders though i dont think is faking it, they just simply look ****! Besides all the guys that put GTS mirrors on arent trying to pose as a GTS.....

No your a BIG A$$ poser Sterling, but we love you anyway! LOL!

Chuck, I hope you have a pretty nice bike bro' because when you get done you will need it...that or you will be walking because you are not going to have any cars... Knowing you though I am CERTAIN you have something SWEET up your sleeve! I can't wait to see what it is! Sure wish I could afford to take Kermit off your hands... Kermit and Blue82, then that 3900 mile orange '91 S4... DAMN! Then I would need to find a REALLY LOW mile GTS... That would be the ultimate 928 collection! 4 AS NEW 928's...one in each body style!

I would love that CLK BS too! Those are SWEET! Love the connection to F1 safety car with that bad boy! Same with Kibort's race car! Love that it was the ACTUAL IMSA doctor car!
