Finally (I think) Decided on an ECU for one motor

I have an E6k I'm going to put on my 84 this Spring. The only real reason I chose it is that you can pick them up on Ebay for $500.
That's not a lot of money for a stand alone. The 034 IIc I'm running on my Audi 200 was $2200 with a flying lead harness

Brendan, I know a Haltech dealer ( not in N. America) who has installed one on a turbo charged S-4. If you hit a snag, let me know and I can put you in touch with him.

have you figured up how much time (labor) it will take to do this?
given Carl's deal is pretty much plug and play (including tuning maps and such), where's the advantage of your deal-----and will it do at least the same number of things (options) that Carl's Electromotive system will.
I don't need an answer to this, just something to think about (?)

I spent a moment trying to write a polite response to your post Russ. I have been faulted here on this board for some...rude.... responses to people. I do not mean to offend... usually.
Your responses always seem to belie a sort of "late to the party" attitude wrt the OP (in this case, me). I am here to learn, as you are, I am sure. But your posts (possibly not just to me) always seem to say something that is obvious to anyone that has put more than a few days thought into something. Please do not be offended, nor think that I am suggesting you stop responding to me or others, but...
Do you really think I haven't thought this through? Do you think I just pulled this out of my *** this morning after having never put any thought into an aftermarket ECU?
Autronic and Haltech (somewhat later) as well as AEM, Link G3, and even megasquirt and VEMS etc, have been doing what the TecGT FINALLY does for years beforehand. The TecGT is phased semi-sequential injection. The Tec2 and then the Tec3 were very limited in their capabilities and software for quite some time. I knew Speed Force Racing here in San Diego (951 and rice tuner guy named Tim) back in 2001 when he was making billet parts to get a Tec2 onto a 951 to break out of the Motronic crap. The TecGt is great. Its just not for me for several reasons not important here.
I think I have it. And again, no offense meant, but I don't think your posts ever take into account the OP's position or situation. Everyone to you, may seem like a novice? I suppose I did not put ALL the background in this thread specifically, but rest assured Russ, I may not know the full tuning picture, but I am well aware of the work and issues involved.
I was trying to share great news (for me). I have been thinking about this, well, since I bought my first 928 in 2000 from Dallas with Sterling's help. I have been close with Sterling during his Motec ecu work with his stroker motor back to I think 2003.

Looks really good. I am confused on the pricing. It looks like a "motec" sort of pick your poison options list.

That, for the price point, is more in direct competition with the Link G4 extreme (weird names, I know)
