Bill,
Your car is awesome! I hope to have my Strosek looking as nice as your Koenig someday!

Do you have an S4 motor in it? Are you running an auto or manual trans?

A few more shots would be great!

Thanks,
Glenn

Ed,
Nothing that I can see, no documentation with the car.

http://www.porsche928.net/history/st...ltra_2003.html

The car also has the mirrors, front and rear spoiler, OZ Racing 17" Furura wheels, bilstein shocks and lowering springs.

It is true that there was a program to fly to Germany, take possession of your new car, drive it during your vacation there or as my PO did back then, had it converted to a Koenig in Germany, and then have Porsche ship it back as a new car (they were confident that Koenig maintained emission and crash worthiness). A certificate of authenticity from Koenig was given to me by the PO but it got lost during a move. Bill, if the koenig site is still in operation, I am sure they could provide you with the orig record (certificate).

Thanks Hessank. I talked with Koenig Sp. years ago to see if they could provide some paperwork stating they converted the car. I was told they keep their records according to customer last names, not by VIN number, and of course I don't know who originally brought them the car. I will try with Koenig again someday when I have more time.

Thanks Glenn, appreciate it. The engine was custom built by Koenig, they used an '88 block bored to accept oversized GTS pistons, GTS crank, S4 rods. S4 heads and cams. The pistons were 'dished' out to lower compression ratio to approx 9.4 and they added an Albrex supercharger that makes max 8 psi, with no intercooler.
When I rebuilt the motor, I changed the fueling setup. Now using 42lb injectors with the Sharktuner. And its a manual tranny.

Nice widebody. I wished the asking price was about like $18-20k. I will buy it in a heartbeat.

Bill, the DOT should have that information. In Canada, every time a used car changes hands, its history with the names of every previous owner (and liens info) is part of a MUST package that the seller must give to the prospective buyer.
