Pewter's not too far from Zermatt silver, would match the valve covers pretty well.

Spencer I had rather hoped no one would post the pictures of the Salsbury 4850D until April 1.....but what the heck nearly everyday on Rennlist seems like April 1 .

Rob is not thinking outside the mailbox ... naysaying is not productive !! sometimes the simplest solutions are the best.... open your mind !! While it might LOOK like a mailbox it could in fact be the ideal shape....nice flat floor to mount to the intake flanges , curved roof to resist intake suction and pressure plus controls resonance as pressure wavse rebound off the constant radius. I predict at least a 75-100 hp improvement and the plenum is ONLY $100 !!! use two and gain 200 HP ! OR BETTER YET FIT 2 OR 4 OR 6 ELECTRIC SUPERCHARGES !!!! My god there is no limit to the incompetence of the Porsche engineers what could they have possibly been thinking ??

Carl no disrespect intended for you or your intake products obviously much effort , thought , and analysis went into what you have successfully built... which also means you know how much of everything such projects require.

Sorry Carl, but I beg to differ. IMO it's a horses a**. I've made some flow/performance improvements, but it's never going to be a seriously good manifold because the entire intake tract (air cleaner to port) contains too many compromises to allow good airflow.

Ah. Good information. I have not raced or flow-benched the pipe-organ, just worked on it in customer cars, etc. Always impressed me with the size of it's tubes and what I felt was a tremendous capacity for air flow.

Can you expand on what you have said? WHERE are some of those compromises that choke it down?

I have a set of the S3 runners, but no side tanks or "T" tube, that you could test out if you wanted.
I could probably borrow the "T" and side tanks from a friend.

If you have a flow bench it'd be useful to post up the results, of how useful that tremendous looking intake really is.
