Barry, no thoughts on this?

no problem at all ... the distributor is ahead of the cross brace , and has his full range ( timing) available. The brace is close to the carbs , but the engine is on solid mounts.

I find it hard to comment on how much he "weakened" his car without an understanding of where his roll cage is mounted and how extensive it is. And I don't see the pictures here to evaluate that.

Possibly, some of the stresses on the uinibody have been transferred to the cage frame - I know that is the case with mine.

I like the mod to my cross brace, Barry. I thought about making one just like that myself.

Carl if the cage stops at the firewall and it appears that it does cutting away the sheet metal which triangulates the upper inner fenders is going to create more flex. How much more ?? adding back a bolt in brace like the early Mustang and Falcon is a simple solution or running tube from a dash cross brace (upgraded from stock) out to the shock towers .
