Last year I believe they scrapped the VIP track touring on Friday due to running behind on the practice sessions.

Who's up for the Red#3 group. I'm not sure what red#9 looks like. Looks like a lot of time leftover between days. That's all I'm saying. G

Short Bus translation. I'm familiar with red#3 but haven't seen the other shade so I'm signing on with them. Looks like there is room for schedule augmentation with all the off time in between. Something about the big red guy with the barbecue franchise finding work for idle hands. G

Well, I really wanted to bring a different car this time around. I didn't want to bring the same old car that I always bring to the get togethers. So I worked on the turbo car until 11:00 pm the other night, you know, the night when it got down to 28 degrees. Keep in mind that I don't work in a garage, I work in my driveway with lights and a floor jack. I worked on the turbo last night until 1:00 am. Then all day again today. Once it was all buttoned up it has an unmetered air leak and doesn't want to idle until warm. Major frustration.

Then, this evening, I installed a new coolant expansion tank on the widebody in hopes that I could drive that down to Sebring tomorrow. Well, during the pressure test I found that both side tanks on my radiator are now leaking. Something else to add to the ever growing list.

So to make a long story short, I don't know if I'm coming tomorrow. I only have the 84 to drive and I really wanted to bring something different. If the go karts were in operation i would make the trip, but with no go karts, the decision is a little more difficult. I would like to see everyone but Sun. crowds are usually pretty sparse. The Sat. night partying and the anticipated long drives home usually thins our group out pretty well on Sun. We'll have to see.

We just got back home. The four hour drive with traffic on the Interstate was more hectic than the Autocrossing on Sat. & not nearly as much fun! Our two shark tandem caravan got a few looks coming and going though.

It was great to see everyone. The weekend always goes by too fast. We had a total of 17 sharks in attendance over the weekend with their owners/families/friends, & another five sharks represented by their owners there with other means of transport. Sunday there were about half that number up till about 2pm before everyone started dispersing.

We had six sharks in the Autocross & if you've never done it before, for $30, its more fun than the go-karts cause you're driving your own car. I say next year we get a dozen or so sharks running in it. Kiet represented us well with his great looking black '90 GT. I knew we had at least one 928 Autocross Ace when they gave him an award for previous events before we even started! Most of the 60+ other drivers were very complimentary of our cars & several commented how they loved the sound of our V-8s! They even had an Autocross school on Sun. that Mike & his son participated in & that sounded like the best deal. Wish I could have done that, maybe next time.

Thanks Mel and Pam for all you do to put on these events. Thanks George and Doreen for feeding the boy and I. Thanks David, Mike, Gina, Arlene and family, Joe, George V and family, and everyone else for the good conversation. Thanks also to Roger for more free parts.

It was great to see you & your son Brian, that boy is definitely destined to carry on the 928 tradition in your family. Please tell Sherri that we missed her, Pamela was really looking forward to seeing her again, especially since there aren't as many ladies at our events.

The thanks truly goes to all of the 928ers who attend, cause without all of you, there'd be no event, just a bunch of non 928 Porsches going around the track!

Hey Mel, it was great meeting you and Pam and also nice to see Brian and his son again along with meeting George V, Arlene and Mike.

I wished I also have a great looking black ‘90GT also but I just have to settle for my great looking black ‘91GT .

I helped out the Autocross school on Sunday and we had fun runs in the afternoon. Most of us did better on Sunday than Saturday including me turning in my best time.

I hope to see everybody again next year and more with a lot more 928’s for the Autocross.

Sorry bout that Kiet, I kinda realized it about 5 mins after I posted it. I wish I could of been in the school today, Mike was saying how much fun he & his son were having. Actually, I've already told Pamela that I'm signing her up next year for the Autocross too. I'll be in touch.

Kiet,

It would be great to see you bring your 91 GT to one of the events held at my work. Check out the size of this autocross.

Mel, what happened to the go karts? Were they just removed for the weekend to make room for the auto-X?

That's the basic answer I got when I asked a couple track officials about the go-carts.
