They always run the WORST cars FIRST ..... check the results at the end of the sale and did you LOOK at some of the junk they sold. The GM test Mules are too funny and with JUNK titles.

I can't believe what actually gets sold there, I thought it was all collector and higher end stuff. 1991 Saturn, 2002 Buick Rendezvous, 1989 Geo LOL!
I thought the Weissach would have gone for more and the S4 brought pretty good money.

Normally you wouldn't see a Geo Metro at the B-J auction. This collection is made up mostly of test mules, prototypes, show cars etc... I was a bit surprised to see all of them at B-J. I was even more surprised to see some very rare and valuable Corvette's on the block for Tuesday and Wednesday. I'm sure every one of the Vette's would have sold for more money on Friday or Saturday night.

Ah Yes .... "GM is selling a few hundred cars from their Heritage Collection: " Given their current financial condition they are worried about being around to have a heritage ! GM is doing all they can to raise CASH because they can no longer afford to exist /do business on borrowed money. The proceeds are more symbolic than real but a garage sale is a garage sale.

Maybe they were hoping somebody would give them a few billion for that 2001 Pontiac Aztek?

When they released their last quarterly report, they were loosing money at the rate of more than $2 billion per month. That $10 million would keep them in business for less than an extra 3.6 hours.

It's not just GM's collections and museums...
NASCAR's probably wondering just how much GM won't be funding, too.
