Default Three 928s in Barrett-Jackson Auction

There are at least three 928s for sale in the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale in January. An '82 WEISSACH, an '87 "S" (?) and a '94 GTS. Anyone know these cars? I tried to download the fotos but they have them blocked.

I'll be attending on one of the days but it'll just be for the B-J experience and I hear they have pretty good hot dogs in the Garage.

I am glad I read the thread title before I got to this part, lol.

It will be interesting to see what they bring in this weak economy.

A 5.0 Liter/320hp 8 cylinder with an automatic. A rare Chassis Red factory color car. 1 of 5 in this color. This car placed First at 2005 50th Annual Porsche Parade, Concours d' Elegance in Hershey, PA. Every scheduled maintenance has been performed on this car. The car is perfect mechanically and cosmetically. Have all service records to verify this. In January 2008, it received a new R & I transaxle in the automatic transmission, replaced torque tube, replaced T/C drive BRGS, topped-off the fluid levels, set tire pressure and replaced the exhaust. It has no nicks, scratches or door dings. It has been garaged kept and covered. It has never driven in the rain or snow. The paint and interior has no blemishes and is in excellent condition. There is no wear on the driver seat and no fading on the paint. I have many extra parts that come with this car including original exhaust.

Ordered with every option huh. Was the option list really small in 1994?

I'd like a shot at that second one, if I had the money to spend.

Isn't it a concern with Barrett-Jackson auctions you can't test drive or there is no guarantee that there aren't any significant hidden flaws? For example, there used to be a GTS I know of that had bad compression in one cylinder...but otherwise was a great looker. It was sold at Barrett-Jackson. I hope the buyer was a collector and not a driver.

I like the 2 piece luggage set on the Weissach - DUH! They really know there cars.
3 Piece Luggage set.

The GTS is a Euro - very interesting. Very few options on the car from the picture.
Didn't even get 12 way seats.

Chassis red is an awesome color - NOT

"Chassis red" NOT. Cassis red, probably, and appears to be that color, but it's not rare!!
One of the very rare options on the GTS is the "wavy" black seal running along the drivers side A pillar. Standard production was straight.
