Congratulations on your new toy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As a 1st hand "victim" to what Doc can do to a 6.5L 928 in an automatic....I fully understand the you are going through right now & Robs had LSD + 295's in the rear..& it still was pointless.........

You should pick up quite a bit of HP with 24lb injectors and more tuning.....maybe 30lb injectors are needed?

Greg seemed to believe that 24 pound injectors would cover the fuel needs (and of course need a complete re-map once we get them in there). Apparently there was room to add more timing, which in addition to the added fuel and perhaps some better breathing from the new cams just might be a ton of fun

I may have a stronger B2 piston put in along with the LSD, since it's a known weak point in the automatic. I already have a constantine clamp keeping a firm grip on the torque tube.

It's been an obscenely expensive adventure (makes me think of Pretty Woman, where the salesman asks if Richard Geere plans to spend a meerely "offensive" amount of money, or really "obscene"), but lordy it's got that torque I wanted, and I have the confidence of Greg having cleaned, torqued and lock-tighted just about every nut bolt and washer in the drivetrain...

The car is currently running GT cams on the intake, and GTS exhaust (due to the almost non-existence of fresh GT exhaust cam supplies).

arent S4 exhaust cams supposed to be an upgrade over GTS exhausts?

Or was that intakes?

I recall hearing that in a GTS engine if you swap in either exhaust or intakes from an S4 you get a nice bump in HP.

From memory, the GT cams have greater lift than S4 and GTS on both intake and exhaust (and GTS lift is higher than S4). Things get more interesting as you look at the rest of the cam parameters. Putting in the GTS exhaust cams was an experiment, and it appears we need more than what it can do.

FYI in all my comments, when I say "we", I really mean "Greg" with me occassionally offering a less-than-perfectly-informed opinion.

Congrats on the monster motor Shawn, sounds like you are just beginning to tap into the power reserves that motor has in store. I get stoked everytime I hear that another stroker 928 has been unleashed in the world. It's nice to see that GB has developed a method to create and maintain a steady stream of dependable "street" strokers to keep our 928's at the top of the food chain.
I'm definitely jealous.

I took a coworker who normally rides an 1100 cc motorcycle for a run at lunch. He was unable to continue even speaking during WOT bursts

We've run the numbers, and noticed similar power-to-weight on our two wildly different modes of transport (he's a heavy guy on a big bike with a huge motor). We're thinking of a friendly roll-on someday.
