Looks much like my wife's 79 same colors but it had many more miles ....and the statement .."The odometer broke in the early 80s and was never repaired. The car probably has 60,000-80,000 miles on it." means very little to me ! The passenger seat is very dried out and shrunken as well. Still probably better than most early cars.

Seems the owner likes looking at himself in the rearview....

Hmmm... doesn't look bad overall, other than leather issues. Interesting routing of the line to the brake booster(hopefully it still goes there )

I guess I don't understand why someone would leave the odo broken for so long... really kills the integrity of the car IMHO. True mileage known is key to me, and I've learned my lesson on this.

I understand you can make a best guess by certain wear items, but it is possible to be fooled.

Also, I hope this car has more recent service history than that. Not a real comprehensive list. Which means to me, get ready to replace a s**tload of rubber bits and big ticket wear items. Honestly folks, I'm not impressed.... definetly not wow.

And no, nobody pissed in my cheerios today. But I am eating a bowl of Raman right now.... better check that.

I just saw that this morning. About 10 miles north of me, but you can't get there from here.

The TMU pisses me off. Not consistent with responsible ownership...

I know how you feel the old very brown 1980 shows 800,000 plus miles and the odo has never worked since I have owned it...... that kills the resale value Plus I feel so irresponsible ! But the car and I have an understanding if it does anything really rude....bullet to the brain and it is parts .

I have a feeling that your brown car is scared of you and the place you work. Expect many more years of faithful service from her.

Nice looking car from what the pics show but... why would someone go to the trouble of replacing the exciter in the pod and not replace the odo gear(after the odo gear has been fired for so long?)?
