i bet if they put the original oil back in , it would have been the same. dynos and engines do strange things like that. Its always good to go back to double check that you are really getting what you think you are getting.
my dynos with NO changes show this kind of progression. That was some big gain. I bet there is something to it. however, i dont know if 40 weight is what i would want in our cars.

LOL! Of course, technically, that's actually just a 5 Weight oil (that protects like a 40 Weight oil when it gets hot).
ENEOS also has a 0W50 super-oil. That's a Zero (0) Weight oil that protects like a 50 Weight when hot...but you don't get the HP gains from that oil that they were able to show with the ENEOS 5W40.

Holy crap, look at the flapping of that belt. Looks like a 5 inch deflection total! Chevy hasn't figured out serpentine belt tensioners?
