Default Timing Belt Interval Reset

Has anyone come across the warning system displaying the words" Timing Belt Interval reset " , the reason is I recieved a phone call from another repairer to see if I have ever seen it and how to reset it , I can not remember ever seeing it , I asked about the wording because I thought he meant the common timing belt tension .
Year type 1993 928GTS.
Timing Belt Warning comes on every time the engine is started.
Bosch system tester does not help

if the light is on then either the ground circuit is broken or there is a problem with the belt being loose, there isnt any reset on a 928.
If any kind of light regarding the belt is on then the belt should be inspected before running the engine

Well, BB, I've never heard of "Timing belt interval" warning either. Also odd as Porsche doesn't refer to it as a timing belt anyway. We all know about the "Toothed belt" warning.

Hi MrMerlin and Bill , thanks for the quick reply , I just rang them to reconfirm the wording ,I got the boss to go to the car himself a read it , it actually says" toothed belt service "which is naturally the tension , it was a false alarm in translation , I think it was bit of confusion on their part due to the fact they work on other European makes as well and the technician must have thought that it meant service interval .
All is well , and thanks for the reply .
Regards .BB.

Well, let's hope these guys know how to determine what needs to be done to the belt - tensioned or replaced. Somehow, I'm a bit worried...

I suspect jet951 aka BB know more than most to be able to advise what needs to be done.
