i only recall hearing about you, and cant recall the last time you ever had such a presence here on this board, then all the sudden your EVERYWHERE!

did you just wake up from under a rock in some cold wet place?

Because of your reputation i (your quite popular in OT) i cant imagine you have anything important or informative to post in regards to 928's or anything else for that matter. I dont need to read anymore of your inane posts so ciao brotha.

Default Gee I'm sorry I asked the qustion!!

On a lighter note. I wish you could have heard the voice of the shop owner that will be doing the work when he heard they will not be able to mark up the parts the normal, what 40 percent? since I'll purchase them myself. He was getting a price new from Porsche plus his markup.

Oh I know the look. They already had the money spent they thought they'd make off you in there mind.

Had a trucks venturi go out. The shop said it was a $1,000 part and $200 to install. For a small piece of plastic that installs with 2 screws on the intake. He got pissed when I made a few phone calls and told him I located the part for $350, and max it was $400 from Nissan and I won't pay for him to rip me off that much markup.

hehe

We are not very popular with some shop owners even Porsche dealers because their price from us is usually the very same as your price. On the other hand many like the fact that they get the right parts (most of the time) and they get shipped same day (most of the time) and if there are problems we take care of it (most of the time).

Default Are you so right!!

The little "t" handle that allows you to go into reverse on my Maserati needed to be replaced. The cost is $1800. I told the dealer that the factory 50k/48 month is still in effect for a few more days so either they fix or I'll need to purchase a new one. All the long faces since I would in all likelyhood be spending $1800 dollars. Then when I told them my better idea was to purchase a used one and install it myself ( Easy hookup) And to please get my car cleaned and bring it back to my house and put it in the garage a funny thing happen, All of a sudden the dealer said that the factory will agree to pay for my new part and the dealer will install it and bill the factory. Which to me means the dealer wanted to stick me with the bill and when they saw I was going to do it myself then they "fought" for me with the factory So they could stick them with cost for the labor. Nice guys.

I have wondered in the past if the dealer could charge the customer AND then get paid by the car company TOO. Getting paid TWICE for the same job ??? Nah that would never happen

Gentlemen, you will both earn yourselves some away time if you cannot function socially here.

Consider this a friendly warning.

Thanks.
