A 4.5 or 4.7 928 engine in a tired Skitique or Dixie Skier inboard would kick ***.

Nice torque + 1500 more rpm then the average Chevy or Ford --- could rip the bikini bottoms off 3 skiers at the same time.

We're gonna need a bigger boat, a U-boat to be specific.

Is it for a 16V motor or are there any other clues?

Is there an adapter for a marine drive ?

16v only..they only made it while Miami-Vice was still on the air. One sold on ebay last year, can't remember how much. Those logs remind me of the Calloway manifolds...

4 were built, one with a SC as seen in this kick *** video...

Found it! The boat was called the "Kineo", a few were built in '85, or maybe '95, with 928 engines or maybe not...

Here's some pic's from Rinspeed, looks like an S4 motor to me- two of them (640HP in a light 29' boat, that should be adequate):
http://www.rinspeed.com/pages/marine/marine_kineo_e.htm

Here's one for sale but not 928-powered:
http://www.luxuryassettrader.com/details/boat/312/

This ad is for one of three boats built in '95, the specs are a little confusing but it looks like it has been repowered with 2x Merc's (I wonder if that's where this marine-kit came from?).

They are only asking $299K, get this kit and you are halfway to restoring it to original!

your all blind

it is for an 87+ motor ONLY, you can clearly see the 3 bolt exhaust pattern on the manifolds.

It is for '87 S4 which means it will work with '87-95 engine. Engine was rated 300hp which is same as Australian spec '87-88 MY S4. I think it used same coding plug trick as Aussie motor to make it work with poor quality fuel.

The marine kit weighs almost 200 lbs. With aluminum at almost .30 a lb you need to bring your offer up a bit

I'll see if Jim has any interest in dropping a 928 motor into his Boston Whaler.
