Or, you could take the easy way and glue these on.

First off - What you are doing looks great. It is hard work no matter what route we take!
This was just discussed yesterday -
Aren't we are a sorry bunch, hanging around wide asses.... and trying to figure out the best way to make em wider.
Dayum.... Red That took alot of patience, and looks like the best answer I have seen yet. Good work!

Louie, I'd love to just buy em and glue em, those look great.... But the multiplication factor on cars gets tough.....

Ragnar - Fantastic idea - what a way to save time on shaping!

We were compairing the technique's used yesterday, and in the end, one great piece of advise came out. It was suggested by one "in the know" that the removal of the springs, and manually raising and lowering the car from desired height, to her lowest point of travel, - with the tires you intend on using - is the best unit of measure. While it is a lot of work, after some serious thought, and seeing some that are "just a little off" from side to side - I'm looking for some wider tires and pulling the springs, before I start.
Now to build a real engine to turn them with.
I'm headed to the SC / Turbo thread....
I think I'll start another....
Which is the best car to put your time into - the OB, 86.5, or a S4, and why?

Louis great look. Have a side view pic with the rims on? I'm trying to tell if I like the lines of the car with the huge flairs.

Since you asked, $600 a pair, or with shipping included $700.

I have 17x12 wheels with 335 tires. Plenty of room for more width if needed. I did as others suggested with removal of the springs to see how the wheel/tire moves inward as it moves up. Be sure your rear camber is set as you want first as it will make a difference when clearance is tight.

Some more info here.

If my track shark didn't already have GTS flares + rolling I would be ordering a set of Louies......having seen these in person the quality is VERY good.....& you can fit some monster tires under there.....

Speaking of that....there is at least 1/2" on the outside of my 335 rears....hmm maybe some 345's??

Louie, are those only for the s4/gt or will they work on the OBs?
