Super Cheap GT on EBAY!

Is this sign of the times and new market value for GT's or did this one just fell throught the radar of most people? I think it should have made at least $18k and it could still be called good deal. Unless there is something major hiding which doesn't show up in pictures.

Its not obvious (to me at least) auction had buy it now now that its ended but it makes sense. $12k is so low that it would almost make financial sense to ship it to Europe and sell in here.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. I looked at the pictures over and over trying to find why the price was as low as it was and couldn't find anything obvious. The seller seemed to know which areas to photograph to show any signs of panel misalignment and previous damage and it all looked good as far as I could see. His eBay feedback looks good as well and the Carfax report was reassuring.
I knew she'd say OK but I had to run it by my wife before I clicked the BIN icon. She was on the phone with her mother for over an hour before I could show it to her. Otherwise, it would have ended about an hour earlier. I think I hit it just in time because the bids were starting to roll in.
Thanks for the offers to meet me when I pick it up. I'd love to meet the bay area gang. I've got some arrangements to make but I'll let everyone know once the schedule is set. First I've got to find $12K. Anyone want to by a slightly used kidney or other non-vital organ?

Last Friday some people bought stock in GM at $ 4 a share it has since traded as high as $8 a share..... there are bargains all around us ! You have to wonder what the dealer had in that GT to be happy to sell it at $12,888 ?? because you KNOW he made money on the deal. Most likely he bought it as it was being traded in on a new car made a wholesale buy bid BEFORE the trade was negotiated so the new car dealer had no risk in the deal. Probably was pleasantly surprised that it was a pretty nice car since he never saw it before and bid based on book value ....The books do not add anything for 5 speed GT over standard S-4....

Monterey and the surrounding area is fantastic. Try to build in extra time to do 17 mile drive and the Pacific Coast Hwy. Talk about hair raising twisties. If you play golf you will be in awe of all the great courses. I had the privilege of living there for a year when I attended the Presidio at the top of the hill. Congrats on another fun impulsive adventure. I'm sure Gina will probably accompany you, but if you need a co-pilot I'm game. G
