Sorry to hear your bad luck!
I had the same thing happen to me within the first couple of weeks after the install. I think I might of nicked it or maybe just running with the incorrect tension.
On the Murf stage III, I seem to be having a problem getting the tension where I think it is correct. Maybe I am just not use to the noise of the SC and think it is slipping??
I got one belt from Tim and also order a spare from Grainger IIRC. Anyway I think its a good idea to keep a spare.
Good luck.

Hmmmm. The air belt could have failed and got into the SC belt.
Is the crank pulley tight ?
I've got 4 years on the same belt. Including 18 - 20 track days.

True...and good belt wrap. I was on my original belt and was doing low rpm, high load pulls on my "test road". Since the TS's build boost immediately, it puts quite a bit of strain on the belt. My old tensioner really wasnt up to the task. Should be now..i hope.

I had it off after the Air-Cond belt snapped. There is only a few miles on the belt before it shredded, I"m sure I routed it correctly.
The tension was set as required; about a credit card space between the coils.
I will get into once the 82 is off the lift, I really wanted to drive it to Daytona. Maybe it's upset because it has a black twin that is getting all the attention.

If the sc belt shredded within a few miles of when the AC belt "snapped" then chances are it was damaged somewhere along the way.
Put on a new sc belt and you should be just fine. Bando 8PK1075 I have them in stock.
Did you figure out what caused the AC belt to fail?
