Default Lost lug nut key, ideas?

I'm so pissed I lost my lug lock key. It appears to not be very easy to get a replacement (understandably). Esp if you don't know who made it, which I don't

The lug is internal tooth (female), key is external (male). Lug appears to have a left-hand thread on the outer diameter.

Any ideas? TIA

Get a set of bolt/nut extractors from Sears. Pound the appropriate one on over the lock. Take lock off. Replace with standard nut.

Get a metal drill bit and drill it out if you have no alternative.

The vatos at the local used tire place got the locks off my wheels on one of the 928s in about 30 seconds each wheel with a hammer and screwdriver. SO its obviously somewhat possible. It looked WAY too easy.

When all else fails we use a hole saw but you need to be careful and stop before you damage the wheel much.

Thanks folks. Lots of options here. I'll start out at Sears or Harbor Freight, then go from there.

Local auto parts stores normally carry a socket for just such problems.

I recommend removing the locks and tossing 'em. Replace with standard lug nuts.

How many times have we heard that someone's wheels were stolen?

In all the years I've been here I'd say zero.

Wheel locks are much more trouble for the owner compared to the protection they provide.
