Get it, save it, pass it around like Roger is doing- this is a must have for the years it applies to. Again, thanks Mike!

Roger: If you can send me a copy I'd be happy to host it on my servers at home (on the internet for 25 years now) and post the link here.

I could use a copy of your top-end refresh write-up pdf, Mike. Would you mind re-uploading it or sending me a copy?
Thanks,
- Russ

Scott Yoo also documented his refresh on the link below. His was an 86.5 S3. Scott's write-up also has a LOT of pics, a nice parts list and some great suggestions on how to pull some stuff apart. Using this website in conjunction with Mike's write-up and you'll have the info you need.

Finally, while not an S3, you may also want to read Dwayne's write-up (look for Dwayne's Garage or the DIY section on the boards). Dwayne's write-ups are just a plain great and leaves nothing to the imagination. He's also great at providing great pictures.

Good luck!

Thank you, monkez. Yes, I have a photo of Scott Yoo's engine literally pinned-up on my wall! Truly a thing of beauty, serving as my goal!
