Thanks to all for coming out today! :)
Well, aside from a few snafus, like Kevin blowing the head gaskets on his car just as the first people started to arrive...
And the leader of the pack making a wrong turn and leading half the pack astray for a short while....
(real sorry about that, guys. )
And the "pumpkineer" traffic everywhere we went....
It was still a pretty nice day, and it was really great to see and meet all of you!
At the house....
Unscheduled pit stop....
At the overlook...(whew! was that a close call with the guy in the hat, or what??? )
At the Chatterbox...where we decided to go after all, while standing at the overlook, since there were so few of us left....
Thanks for coming out, everybody.... I learned an awful lot about leading one of these things today. Organizing it was easy. Keeping it on track is hard!
Not sure if we'll do this again, or not. I have to think about it. I am wondering if it is not best left to the experts (Arrwin and friends).
Hey Arrwin, if you're looking....when in the Spring are you planning your first 2009 run? : We probably cannot make your run next week, now especially with Kevin needing to rebuild his car , but we don't want to miss your next run, as we did the run you did this past August. We never even heard about that one until after it was over.
Send us an engraved invitation next time, will ya??
Tony, thanks again for all your help with planning this run, and for supplying the coffee and donuts.
Allen, thank you for trying to find a fill in for the Apple Pit deli that wasn't a deli...and sorry for the alternate plans in the end anyway. Please let Kevin know when you get those parts and you guys can figure out a time for you to bring them over and get them put in.
Ed, thanks for coming, and especially for the pulley!!
Kevin was checking it out when we got home and it is very
nice work.
Now for the 9-rib......so he can blow it up all over again when he puts it back together!
Which will probably be by the end of the week, knowing him.

Sorry I couldn't make it Leslie.
There just weren't enough hours in the day today for me
Looks like a great turnout, and looks like everyone had fun
I'll make sure I've got more time for the next one.

Thanks Leslie for a great time! This was our first ride and can't wait for another one.The best part was Jacob (,79 930 Turbo)and I both thinking that we were at the tail end of the line with noone in sight and trying to play catch up,then finding out we were 1/2 hour in front of you all!!Must of been that special fuel additive! The ride to WallPac? was awwesome!!!!!!!!!
I think you did a wonderful job and hope we do it again.Hope Kevin's problems are just gaskets.Ed

Leslie,
I promise next year (or sooner!) I'll make a run with you guys. It was just too much to do after Saturday's awesome TAss event, and having my S.O. working at 6AM on Sunday.....
Next time!!

We definitely missed you guys too, but some things are unavoidable.
Ed, I'll take your enthusiasm for the day under advisement!
Marc, hope your mother-in-law gets better very soon.

Three Wheelin'
I'm sorry I couldn't make it, such amazing weather that day and you had a very nice turnout from the looks of things! I would have come, but a garage attendant broke my driver's side window on Friday, so I had to send the car up to the dealer to wait for glass (which should be here by today). Wouldn't have felt right in the loaner!

thanks leslie
appreciate your organizational efforts. my co-pilot and i had a fun time and it was good to meet some local p-friends. As Ed (oBehave) said, it was interesting to find out us backmarkers somehow ended up in front. Anyway, it was a beautiful day and I'm glad I spent the better part of it behind the wheel of the p-car. Keep me on the list if you decide to do another one.
