Welcome Chris. (Damn, nice avtar Angela!!) I'm right down the street in Kinston. We definately need to get together and split a 12 pack over some routine, or not so routine 928 maintenance.

PM me with a phone number. I'm retired AF and I'm in Goldsboro at least once a month. It's good to know that there's another shark owner on this side of I95!

Again, welcome!

Heck yeah!!

But seriously, I wish I had bought one as nice as mine is now when I got my first 928 (which is this S4). Instead I though I was getting a 'deal' and ended up spending $11k on top on the purchase price to get it right. I learned the hard way.

I do my best work when drinking. At least that's what my wife says.

Congrats to the TS. I'm also new here with a '87 S4 with 130k miles. Probably needs some Torque Tube love, also. Hey, once we get them working well, we will have the only year 928s to have set a Land Speed Record... and therefore the BEST year of 928.

Ken-would be happy to grab coffee with ya'll some time. Jon B.-totally will need your help (thanks again for the offer). EC928NC-I am AF as well with 4 years of fun left-I will PM my number as soon as I can PM, I'm in Pikeville (117/795 exit 94). Cold_beer839, sorry I could not afford your shark, though I wish I could have (if you need someone to drive it for you, you know, advertising purposes, I'm your guy . Looking forward to drinking natty light and shooting the poo with anyone who is game.

Thanks again,
Chris

Pics to come as soon as paypal confirms (3 to 5 days)?

Chris,
Welcome to 928 ownership. You have come to the right place. Rennlist is a mechanical, electrical, economical, and psychological resource second to none. It is the people here that make this such a great site. Here's a video for ya. In the summer of 1986....

Dan, thanks for the video! I had heard that the 87 broke the land speed record, but I never saw the video.

Blitz928, OK I was kidding about the natty light, though it was my beer of choice back in the early 90s, when I also lived in Panama City Florida (Calloway to be exact). I remember when you could get a case of it for about $6 (I think they also came in 36s). I have upgraded to Miller Light and Alaskan Amber (when I can find some). Nice care BTW.
