Default Porken LIFT BAR LOCATION ? on an 86

I maybe an idiot but after reading the manual I still don't know what outrigger means. Would be nice to label Driver/Pass side.
If I place them were I believe they need to be the round tube will bend my underside body work in the rear I tried both bars both ways, what am I missing?

Ok that part I got but the rear piece will not lay flat on the car jack point due to that round piece on the top; that sits near the seat belt bolt. If I lift this it will bend my body panel!

There are 2 versions of the Porken bars. S1-S2 and S3+, IIRC.
Those should be the S1-S2 type.
Is your 86 considered an S3?

Early '86 should work with the early one (which it looks like). The later one is for 86.5>

I had the same issue with mine, but the little squashed tube should fit in between that ridge and the seat belt bolt without bending anything.

An issue I had with mine was that my rear seats (and seat belts) are removed, but I put the bolt back in and without the seat belt there, it protrudes into that channel a bit.

You may have extra rubbery stuff there, or something could be in the way.

The locator tube is purposely thin wall, so that it will 'crush to fit'. It can also be massaged with a hammer.

Orange tape aligns with the front door/fender seam, and on the round style, the outrigger goes to the inside.

whatever you do, make sure you have the right bars for your model. I didn't, and almost lost my car (see this thread https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ight=lift+bars). The right bars work beautifully!
