My 928's 1st Dr's Appointment *Thx Oscar*
This weekend me & my lil 928 ventured over to Oscars house in Lake Elsinor...
He graciously taught me how to change my oil, and he performed a tune up... I attempted to help, but it was useless...his love for the car and his untouchable knowledge, left me listening and watching rather than assisting...
Every little issue that arose, he'd say: Dont worry, we can fix this!
It is sooo comforting and makes my owning this beauty, easier, knowing I have such wonderful people to turn to...
You all should see his garage, built just to work on Porsches, and he's currently got 2 amazing ones finished and is working on a thrid for his 17 year old daughter...(looks like we may have more female drivers comin up)
Everyone raise your glass to a great guy
Thanks Oscar

I just picked up an 83 a month ago. I live in Sun City. I am excited to see that there are some 928 owners in my area. Anyone else out this way? I am really sold out for 928's now. I still need to do a tune up as well as some other issues.

SoCal girl. Good to hear that your experience with mechanics has changed for the better.
I think you should start your own thread to introduce yourself and attach pictures of your ride so we can welcome you proper like.

I was referring to "83 928". That is why I put my reply to her before the Quote box. I guess I should have been more specific.
Jim,
I remember that post and was quietly chuckling at the amount of fawning.

What, like Rancho Cucamunga is "near" Ontario, but nobody in RC would ever mention it?

Glad to have been of help....
83 928S, let's take a look at your car. Weekdays are extremely busy but weekends are fine.
We can work on just about everything.....928, 911, 1912 Baker Electrics......
The Baker Electric car is a side project at work. It's lived in our lobby for 58 years and we've been tasked with making it work. We'll be adding solar panels to the roof as a battery charging system. I'll post some pictures soon. This automotive relic has been the most fun project I've worked on.
If I could get my hands on the Porsche Electric........
