Woodward Avenue Dream Cruise This Saturday - August 16
This Saturday is the Detroit area's Woodward Avenue Dream Cruise. Our local Den-Mother, Dennis S. (Weissach 5-speed), has offered to host us at his place for lunch (brats and beer) after the cruise. Bring your swim suit and take a dip in his pool!
We will meet:
Where: Tim Hortons on 11 Mile Road just west of I-75. The exact address is: 2214 E 11 Mile Rd, Royal Oak, MI
When: 10AM August 16th
We typically run down to Ferndale on I75 and then come back up on Woodward, all the way to Pontiac and then come back down I75 to Dennis's house to arrive about 1PM.
Bring your camera and watch the burn outs...

I was reminded this morning that my son has a Tae Kwon Do tournament/picnic on Saturday, so I definately cannot go (besides, no free lamb chops). Sorry.

I took my sisters-in-law who were visiting from out of town to the cruise which thoroughly fascinated them since there isn't anything remotely like it in New Zealand. I saw you guys zooming up Woodward from across the street. Actually, I heard you first before I saw you. Great to see some sharks represented.
Speaking of which, that evening the SoEast Michigan Porsche Club held its 50th anniversary. Out of at least 50 cars mine was the only 928 represented. I know how you guys feel about it but it would have been cool to have a few more.
David Hobbs was the guest speaker and was quite the raconteur.

It was really good seeing everyone again over the weekend. Dennis, thank you for the awesome lunch and drinks. Next year we are going to bring the swim suits for sure.
I have a green Coleman cooler with a white lid from the "Sharks in Hell" party that is unclaimed. If nobody claims it I will keep it for next year’s party and see who takes it. BTW, I am almost finished with the video. Just a few more pics and it should be set to post in a few days.
