No dyno yet. We have continued to fiddle with Sharktuner. Installed the PEM boards in both brains. This allows you to collect data over the diagnostic port and not have to open the brains up and swap chips to reprogram. We have only done some preliminary tweaking to WOT and made little progress in that regard. Idle and cruise in the base fuel map are fine with just a change to indicate the injectors were moved up to 24 lbs and a bump to GT idle. WOT is stoich up to 5000-5600 where it goes way rich (9-10) in that RPM range then back to stoich. Varies somewhat with gear. We're trying to fatten up the stoich areas and lean down brief rich area. Tweaking the separate WOT map will probably not be good enough to eliminate the small rich area. Not sure yet, but we are trying that first since it is the simplest approach.
We haven't started to tweak timing, but during our WOT runs, knocks were generally quite low, so there is some room there. There is a steep learning curve to the Sharktuner. It gives you a lot of information, but just how to use it and where to tweak is taking some trial and error despite John Speake's excellent user manuals. The car runs very well as is, so we are tweaking for more power.
We're headed to the dyno soon. I thought we should get more experience with the Sharktuner first, but tuning with street runs is too slow of a process.
