Default ebay 88'... hmmmm

what do you guys and gals think this one is worth?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=330255296939

I'm guessing less than $3k given engine work?

it has piqued my curiosity ...

Thanks!

Curt

i like the sellers description actually.

And by engine work, you mean engine no workey?

Seriously, if you come across this, the last thing you want to do is post it, now i am aware of it when i would otherwise not do a search for a 928 when i have 2 for sale. But hey, now i am interested!

Maybe only $3k to a vendor, but probably more like $4k-5k to someone here.

Actually, the seller's description and demeanor suck. "Don't know where the wheel is, if you're DESPERATE, I look for it". "The alarm is UNPREDICTABLE-should be disconnected". "The a/c RECENTLY stopped working-don't know why". "Seats are great".

Hmm, let's see. The car's been parked for two years with a blown engine, so how could the a/c recently stop? Great seats? Maybe, but he doesn't mention the douchebag door speaker treatment of no grills. Call it what it is, a semi-good roller that's gonna offer up surprises. Cut the window dressing verbage on a project car.

Here's a plan: buy the car, insure it for $15k, push the POS off a cliff, then collect the ins money.....

I went and got this car today in a beautiful area of New York State. It is actually nice and it now lives in my shop awaiting an engine transplant this week. Very good transaction and a decent car that sat in the weeds for two years and the paint is crappy. I think next weekend or the next I will take it apart, prep it and get it in the booth. Back to its original glory and color which is gorgeous IMO.!!

I paid 2600.00 for this 88'. Now that I said that, let it be a testament to my character, the next time I'm roasted for asking others. We should make it a Rennlist tradition.
