Default Best Option to sell 928

I almost never drive my 1987 928S4. I had it sold 3 years ago and backed out. I was looking at ebay and prices seem amazing low. I was also looking at autotrader and they seem higher but with a large range.

I am really not up to date anymore on where I should list it or what it is worth. I would appreciate suggestions. It is a red automatic with 93000 miles, near perfect, many modifications with everything working.

All depends on the price and how long you want to wait for the right buyer. Not sure, but a lot of 928's sell on ebay.

Just noticed our signature - We have a black Great Dane : Anubis who is 39in at the shoulder and 39.5in at the top of his back. He only weighs 160 though, so we may share the title of Largest Dog.

Sorry for the OT.

Cool, I guess we have weight on our side. Ha ha ha. Of course, we have a wiener dog also and he runs the show.

Maintenance history is big as far as I'm concerned. Last TB/WP job is a strong selling point.

Any performance upgrades: RMB, x-pipe, chips, etc.

Does the car have any unusual deletes: rub strips, sunroof?

Any notable options: LSD, full leather, rear air, extended hub steering wheel?

Post some pictures and give some more details about the car and these guys will give you a good idea about the price.

Check the man's website. Rub strip delete - unless that was a mod. That's a great-looking shark there! Good luck.

take some good photos and put it on Ebay

You will only sell it through this at below market value, when you want to do that you can sell it in a day. But if you want a reasonable amount for the car go to Ebay. I have 1650 plus hits, and 90 people watching my car.

I sold my 89 S4 two years ago for 14K. 75K on the odometer, up to date service, very nice cosmetically. i wanted a quick sale, and it was gone in a week. If you have a higher price in mind, you need to use all sales avenues available to you, including Ebay, Autotrader and Craigslist. you need to stress tha strong points of your car, and you need to be firm on the value and the price.

Be prepared to see a lot of tire kickers, and field a lot of phone calls. Remember, you can always go down, but once down, it is impossible to go up. The whole car needs to be well detailed, especially the interior and engine compartment. You aren't trying to sell your car to the average buyer, so don't price for the average. You only need one buyer, but you are going to have to demonstrate why you think the car ia worth your price.

You can do this, unless you are in a hurry. LOL

Thanks for the replies. We shall see if I actually sell it. When I sold it last time at an agree to price, the guy showed up with $500 less. I told him I would rather keep the car and to his surprise I did....
