I guess that does make sense.

Imo you should not even get $50 for this, it is not an as new condition it is a as 21 years condition.

Sure you MAY have the outside looking good, but the internals are what matters.

This pump will not last long, and 50% of new is NOT a deal.

I have to agree with Ryan on this one.

buyer beware.

I'd go with Ryan and Lizard as well. Sorry.

I think its rather rude and insulting to go into someone's thread and tell people not to buy the whatever it is that they are selling, regardless of your opinion on it. I am selling this pump for what it is, a working used fuel pump, if you don't think it is a good deal thats fine, but have some respect please.

the problem is.....is that you list this used pump as "in new condition"

Your ad is very misleading, and i was trying to politely suggest that you change it, but you insist that its properly worded so be it.

Personally I would just throw that pump in the bin, once removed from the car the pumps will often seize up. They have very close tolerances and the slightest bit of rust occurring inside will stop it turning. An associate of mine runs a wrecking yard for 928s and says that the only time they work off the car is if they come straight off one car and on to another. He told me he doesn't sell them as a rule, too many headaches.

As to near new, come on Ebay relies on honest descriptions as you cannot inspect the goods in general. I have 100% feedback and that is only because I go to a lot of trouble to accurately describe the item, if you said it was 20 years old fair enough, let the market decide. Otherwise you are just giving everybody a headache, that includes the buyer, who may need the car to work as soon as the pump is fitted, you the seller, grieve from the seller ebay, paypal and then a negative rating for anything else you may want to sell that is actually worth selling.

I worded the eBay ad the way I did to help sell it, the ad is not misleading it describes the pump as is, the pump is sealed up just like the picture on eBay, so rust is not a concern. Thank you for everyone's input.
