MB Quart Speakers - Best source ?
After reading all kinds of posts it seems like the MB quarts are the favorite for replacing the S4 speakers.
So, of those of you that have sourced them out, where is the best place, best price?
I'm not so sure about ebay these days.
Thanks,
Tim

I don't want to thread hijack ,but I have this crazy idea to transplant Bose speakers into my 928 and have the only Bose 928 out there. Would the sound be good or just go with MB Quart??

I spoke with the guy who use to be the local rep for MB Quart. He doens't carry their products anymore and no one is currently repping here. So I guess it's ebay....or time to look at other products.
Anyone, anyone

I bought mine from somewhere else that I wouldn't recommend, but I've had friends have good luck with this place.

I work with a girl who use to do sound systems at Chrysler and is an EE. She hates Bose and swears it is crap. For aftermarket she likes Alpine.

Just recieved this in an email requesting dealer information for MB Quarts:. Guess it really is time to consider some other product.
"Thank you very much for contacting the Maxxsonics Europe GmbH, which was recently the manufacturer for German made MB Quart products. We are sorry to inform you that the operative business is closed down now. If you need any assistance in MB Quart matters especially for those products recently made in our German factory, you also have the possibility to contact the GermanMAESTRO Team from MAESTROBadenia Akustik & Elektronik GmbH.
This GermanMAESTRO Team was recently in charge of the German MB Quart products’ engineering and production.
You will reach them via e-mail by info@german-maestro.de, via fax by +49 6261 638 129 and via phone by +49 6262 638-0."

WOW!
MIND YOU, Thats like 3 or 4 different companies now that have owned MB-Quart in the past 10 years or so. Maxxsonics has only owned them for about 4 years now and apparently spent a bunch upgrading the product line. Now they are gone.
Guess thats the end! I wish i kept a set now!

BOSE = Blose
Lots of commercial for their wares. And their OE stuff will probably sound better than aftermarket cause they have the car specific interior to design the speaker/amp unit to suit.
I've not been a fan of metal/titanium dome tweeters and the MBQuarts I've seen on the interwebs have them. Too shrill/sharp. But that was quite a few years ago so maybe my olden ears will like metal tweeters now.
Been looking at Polk/Infinity for speaker upgrade.
Maybe I'll look into Alpine as well.
