Any reccomendations for lodging in Old Town? My son said there were cottages behind old town that he stayed in once and that they were real cool. I just asked him again and he got the name of the place from his friend, "Tropical Palm." Think I might try it out.

I'm not sure about the palms but there are tons of hotels on that street. At least 40 of them. Since its not peak season you should be able to find a good deal.

Guys,

Could someone post a map of just exactly where we're suppose to show up to get directed to our area? I've never been up there. Also, I'm assuming Flipper's is walking distance from where the cars are going to be parked? Is 7PM at Flipper's the target?

See you there!

Just go to the entrance of old town and there are signs for the cruise. Flippers is part of Old Town.

Alright, update time. It looks like I will be able to bring the turbo car to Old Town. The car is back together and running. I even took it for a drive around the neighborhood. It ran fine and best of all.............................NO LEAKS!!!!! Now I just need to put the belly pan back on and give it a good washing. Tomorrow will be spent cutting through the govt. red tape so that I can get it registered. I sure hope the inspection by the sherrif doesn't include a look at the underside of the car. I would hate for him to see a wastegate and no cat staring back at him. I don't need those types of problems right now.

By the way, all of you who are bringing cars that are newer than 87 tomorrow. I think there are only two of you but listen up. This car show has recently been opened up to a wider range of cars. The stipulations are that the car has to be a 1987 or older, customized, or an exotic to participate. I think you should qualify under the exotic banner but that is really up to the personal opinion of the dude checking you in. So I ask that you either tell him your car is an 87 or tell him you have a stroker engine or some such customization. I can call the cruise director and speak with him if this makes anyone uncomfortable. i really doubt you will have any problems if you tell him that you are with the Porsche group, but theres always that slim chance.

I'm getting excited about tomorrow. Maybe we can have a go kart race. They are just the standard 5hp rental karts that are at most amusement karting places but it will still be fun since we all know each other. I'm warning you now, my fiance will spin you out or put you into the wall if your not carefull.

Well yall i am gonna make it, but my 928 is not a "show car" by any means of the phrase. it is not a bucket of bolts, but it still needs some work. It would be obvious that I am not there to really participate in the show. Will they still let me come in and park with yall, so we can stay together? Or is this a bad idea? Thanks.

Do we have a head count?
Do we have a firm meet up time?
How about Cell numbers so we can hook-up!

I will be getting there a little after 5:00 with Mark Kunn riding shot gun.

Johnny will be driving his 85 Euro; after me working on it for the last 3-weeks, so don't worry about how it looks it's how it runs, the looks will come in time.

We are meeting, per Fabio's instructions, behind the General Store in Old Town, between 6pm and 7pm. From there we will go eat some pizza!

It's all in a series of posts about one page back.

I'm still in for a 6:30pm arrival. Save me a spot!

Leaving soon. 188 miles to Old Town, so I need to google a car wash on 192.
