I have a set of colored center caps that I got with a set of repop wheels that I will give you if you want to test the black centers look. PM me your address.

My suggestions for a couple of other things to clean up, hot post cover is missing this is important get one for a 1988 S4 , it fits perfect. Also add some heat shrink to the thick red wire and the smaller red wires coming from and to the hot post.
Use some Black to black on your intake tubes to get rid of the scratches, either polish or powdercoat the cross brace.
Reinstall the air pump filter cover, and rerout the small hose from the water bridge over the top rad hose, this helps the coolant system to purge all of the air out of the lines. If you have not done so already replace all 4 of the fuel lines , the ends can be reused with new hose at a hose shop or Roger has a line kit for the car. Goodluck keep em flying!

I am planning to do everything you mentioned in the near future. I keep the air pump filter cover off because it's my drink holder when I am in the engine bay.

I really like the looks of those wheels - and the engine bay looks really good as well!

Peace,

Wheels look nice, do you have any shots of the car with the wheels in direct light?

Sorry, only took a few shots. I put the car up at the shop for the week. So I probably won't be able to take any more pics till this weekend. Maybe these pics will help...

Blitz,

If you're interested to try, I used Testors brand model paint that I got at a hobby store to color match my centercaps to my custom powdercoated wheels. I finished them off with a clear lacquer, which has proven to be very durable.

There's a huge array of colors and finishes available in model paints, and they come in inexpensive, small cans, so it's not much of an investment if you need to try a couple of different colors before you get the right match.

I didn't paint my crests (just masked them and painted), but some guys have done that using the Testors paint pens.
