Default 87 S4 New wheels pics.

I've actually had these new wheels for a couple months, along with the refinished intake and GTS mirrors. Just went for a drive and decided to take some pics. Thought I'd share...

Nice Matt.

Love the silver/black twists. Is that black paint a satin finish or glossy?

I like the body colored bumperette too, did you do it yourself or have it done at a bodyshop with the mirrors?

The wheels are a satin finish.

I painted the foglight bumperettes myself, with touch up paint believe it or not. Correct color of course. Removed them prepped with acetone and used a brush. The paint flowed out nicely, You'd never guess it was a brush job.

Two suggestions, clear corner lights and clear turn signal lenses. That would complete the front end!

Matt that car looks great, nice job, the wheels are awesome. The engine intake is nice as well.
My suggestions for a couple of other things to clean up, hot post cover is missing this is important get one for a 1988 S4 , it fits perfect. Also add some heat shrink to the thick red wire and the smaller red wires coming from and to the hot post.
Use some Black to black on your intake tubes to get rid of the scratches, either polish or powdercoat the cross brace.
Reinstall the air pump filter cover, and rerout the small hose from the water bridge over the top rad hose, this helps the coolant system to purge all of the air out of the lines. If you have not done so already replace all 4 of the fuel lines , the ends can be reused with new hose at a hose shop or Roger has a line kit for the car. Goodluck keep em flying!

Blitz,

I like the two-tone wheel, something I'd wanted to do when I refinished mine, but had trouble with the powdercoating. Are yours wet painted?

A very tidy look overall; I might think satin black centercaps would be a nicer touch, though.

Thanks for sharing!

I think it looks fine with the colored ones. I think it would look AMAZING with tinted corners/tails/signals. Anyone ever done this sort of thing?

Classic black spokes with silver rims, that combo is hard to beat.

Would black center caps with a full color crest make the look less busy?

That's a very nice example of the 928!

FYI Your windshield wipers are out of sync. The driver side wiper sits way high. That should be a simple adjustment, though.

I purchased the wheels finished already from a retailer in Texas. WHen I initially purchased them I was unnder the impression they were powdercoated. But It looks to me that they are simply painted.

These wheels should be commercially available. I think Wheelenhancement.com or tirerack.com should carry them.

Black centercaps with the colored crest might be cool, you know anyone that sells them, or I guess I could get some and paint them. I'd just have to find the right paint to match the wheel finish.
