both seem cool
much better options then some of the other crap lifts ive seen people trying to buy on here.
I think Bill Ball uses one similiar to the second one and loves it. I think its great if you dont have allot of height in your garage.
both good options, how tall is your garage? that would be the deciding factor for me. If you can fit the 2 post get that. better access and cheaper. if not then the 4 post is nice.

I've just got a standard 1 car garage right now but a shop soon(hopefully). I've never felt really safe working under a 2 post lift. Especially when they start shaking while your wailing on a part. A lot of people like them though. I've got to do the measurements to see how each will fit. I really need a lift that's for shooo.

Feed back of 2. Wow.
I bought mine from these guys http://www.completehydraulic.com/cj10000bp.html
I am more than happy with it and I can lift the shark 6' with a 9'3" ceiling.

2-post was too wide for my home garage - my wife would not be able to park her car next to it. As Ryan mentioned, I have a 4-post that looks identical to the one pictured. These 4-posts are hobby lifts, not nearly as sturdy as a professional lift but OK for casual use. An anchored 2-post lift should be just as stable as a 4-post. Wheel work is MUCH easier on a 2-post, even if you get a couple of expensive sliding jacks for the 4-post. However, the ability to lift the car without disturbing ride height or alignment with a 4-post comes in handy. If you are going to pick this up, you will need a LARGE trailer and some help getting the parts off the trailer at home. Even broken into parts, these are very HEAVY and very cumbersome to unload.

Looks like the 2 post will fit by 1" if I measured correctly. Also it's a 220V so I'll have to run a line if I get it. I'm liking the 4 post so I can park a car under it while one is on it for storage. Does anyone double stack with the 2 post lifts? Also it's a 110V.

One consideration in cost is to fine a supplier close enough that you can pick it up and eliminate the freight cost. They are HEAVY and cumbersome, if not impossible, to move around without equipment. If you can pick it up, you can unpackage it on your trailer and actually erect it from the trailer by hand.
Good luck, it's like a different world with a lift.

Godley, Texas is in the DFW area. WHAT??? You could come to Godley but you can't come for a GTG? LOL. I think Brad W has this lift in his shop. Very very nice!

Four posts have a light footprint. Mine is sitting on 16x16x3.5" precast pads, over packed crushed rock (over clay) for the moment, and it is quite stable.
I like four post lifts because they're much faster on and off. Setting up the two post arms every time is a chore.
Look ma! I made you a covered pat-ee-o.
I'm going to build a carport roof over it, using the existing posts.
Note: I replaced all the no grade Chinese bolts on this Danmar with 'Murican grade 8.

Anyone have any experience w/ the single arm lifts that are made specifically for parking cars under? I am considering one of those for the future. I wired the garage for three of them right out of the shoot figuring with my proclivity to collect cars I would need them at some point...
