It looks like I'll miss this one - going on vacation 7/26-8/2 - but I'm up for any meet-up in August.

Sorry you can't make it.

We'll keep you posted, last year we had a little 'Sharks at the Beach' GTG in September. We'll post a thread when we set it up again.

So it sounds like we're all set then. Great! I'll give TT a call today and confirm the 26th, and have them kill off the 19th reservation they also gave me.

Mike, dammit, this was all your idea, so you better get that car back together again and make it!!

Can't wait to see everybody again!
Oh, I'll be there. Nothing like the stress of a deadline to get the work moving along...

I just checked and my new injectors should be there when I get home. Just have a few more things to strip and paint and it will be time for reassembly. Hopefully this Sunday will be the day.

A little bump for this thread to let everyone know that we are confirmed with TT as of yesterday for 7/26 at 10:00 a.m. Looking forward to seeing lots of cars there that day! (At least 6, anyway! )

Mike, maybe you should start yet another thread (sorry! ) announcing a gtg at Cubbys afterwards for about 2:00 or 2:30? That way, those who aren't coming to the dyno can come gloat (or commiserate) with all of us afterwards at the restaurant?

Just a thought....

Do you think we will be done by 2-2:30? Was thinking of heading down to LBI afterwards but might be too much for one night. I might be able to have everyone over my place just a mile up the road. I will let you know if I can swing it.

Hey Anthony, If we only get the 6 minimum cars needed for the deal price, we should be done before 2:00, I would think. Figure 2 or max 2.5 cars per hour, according to TT.

6-7 cars, 4 pulls each with strapping them down, starting a 10:00am? I don't know, that sounds kind of tight. But I've never done this before so I don't know.

I'm up for Cubby's or Anthony's. I'll wait to hear back from Anthony before starting another thread. Thanks again Leslie!!

PS- My car still isn't back together yet. I was missing two cam cover bolts and had to order them (PO had regular 10mm M6 bolts with washers on there) Tell Kevin I said thanks for the advice and offer of help, I'm almost there.

I'm hoping to finish it up this weekend and be on the road by Monday though. No pressure!

No, absolutely NO PRESSURE whatsoever for you to [subliminalmessage] get that dang car back on the road [/endsubliminalmessage]!

(Psssst...before you start feeling badly, Kevin gets the same crap from me all the time too. And he said to tell you any time you need him, you know how to reach him, and that he's sorry he wasn't able to help you out this time.)

Oh, I know I'm going to make it. It's just a question of how many jobs I should stop when the bolts get here tomorrow so I can button up the running gear. I won't get a chance to replace the front fog light before the dyno day which is going to bother me because Kevin hooked me up with the replacement before LAST WINTER.

Anyway, no problem that Kevin didn't have the parts I needed, you guys have that whole Euro thing going on so things are bit different in the engine area (what with all those extra ponies and all )

Thank him again and I appreciate the offer. Hopefully when the parts come in tomorrow I'll just have to close it up, change the oil and crank it over.

Thanks Tony.

NOPE! If Adam shows up we can compare them. He had his PC-ed and I just stripped and painted mine. It was VERY time consuming and exhausting to strip them, but I really like the result.

I used Duplicolor high heat paint from a spray can (500 deg. F). They have the whole set: grey primer, cast aluminum paint, and clear coat (which really came out looking good if I do say so myself).

Haven't been around this weekend. Would we prefer to go to Cubby's afterwards or back to my place for dogs and drinks? I am literally less than 2 miles up the road.

I could go either way, myself, Anthony....both options have their definite charms.

Of course, if anyone else wanted to join us for a gathering after the dyno event, might that present problems? Do you have lots and lots of parking??
