DAMNIT.
Ed, Justin, and I are were watching the Rolex race and it looked like Porsche was going to get a 1,2/1,2 and the gas ran out. Last 100 feet for the Brumos Porsche.
Damnit.

I need to point out on the 928 forum that the venerable Porsche flat 6 engine was out absolutely kicking *** in both DP and GT classes until the last 1/2 lap. Then fuel strategies didn't pan out, and the Brumos 58 Porsche ran out of gas maybe 100 ft before the finish line, after the Ruby Tuesday 23 Porsche ran out at the beginning of the last lap. Not to be outdone, the Farnbacher Loles 911 which was leading GT ALSO RAN OUT of gas on the last straight. 
And some think the flat six is outdated.
Oh, I forgot. Yes, there has been a DP car running a Porsche V8 this year.
