Thumbs up 1988 Felsengruen Metallic Shark Unveiled

Finally, as many of you know, I was in the hunt for a 1988 Shark for my retirement since that's the year I joined the USAF. I initially bought Daymon's 1989 but it just didn't feel right, so I let it go still searching. I will state it was a great pleasure to deal with and get to know Daymon, he's a true gentleman.

I looked at dozens of 88-89's and decided on a beautiful 88 Felsengruen Metallic, (it being different). It has been babied with only 87K miles on her.

Below are a few teaser pics that was provided by Derek (PO). I haven't had time to take any of my own, but will once I put the 18" Hollow Spokes

Darien,

WOW, very nice find!

Looks like a very low mileage car, definitely pampered. Can't wait to see more pics.

Keep in touch, Derek

That is very nice indeed! The color combo is very rich looking. I would say a fairly rare car.

Congrats.

+928.....I love that color! What happened to your black one? Did you sell it? (Daymon's was the black on black, with the black cup II wheels right?)

Thanks all!!

We are currently here in NC taking some time off. Both Sharks are in a friends garage in NM. The new addition is a great match for Rocket especially with no side moldings. Both colors seem to change depending on the lighting

Darien,

Congrats on the new beast! Looks VERY NICE!

Also congrats on your retirement and thanks for your service to your Country and mine!

Question... How are you getting 466/437 out of an '86.5?! NICE! S/C? Turbo? Magic???

Best,
James

Default Congrats, beautiful car!

Hi Darien,

Wow, what a strikingly beautiful car!! I hope you enjoy many happy years of ownership. By odd coincidence, I, too, recently bought a 1988 Felsengruen Metallic 928 S4, last August, in fact. Mine's really similar to yours except that I have linen colored seats instead of the taupe colored leather. I have the taupe color on the steering wheel and dash, and love it. It's really unique. Here's my car from a trip to Destin Fla this past Feb. Can't wait to see more pics of your car. The color is really rare. And it's made even more rare by the fact that it was only offered by PorscheAG in '87 and '88. Best regards, Rick.
