Default "THE FORD 19# INJECTORS"

Can anyone confirm the following.
- No such thing as a special "FORD RACING" 19# injector.
-The correct injector for use in the S4 is the " regular Ford Gen 3 disk type (4 hole pintle) 19#injector"
-Bosh pt# 0280155700
-Ford pt# F45E-A1B
- It is not ! the M-9593-C302 ( this is the ford 1 hole injector)
- The lower seal must be replaced with a larger seal.

I do not think the Gen 3 ones are recommended for some reason. I cannot remember why. Not sure if the resistance is different or something else. Anyway, check this website out:

http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/Injec...sPORSCHEVW.asp

They recommend 1987-91 Porsche 928 - Bosch/Ford 0280150556-FOTE D5B Yellow Top 19lbs/hr - 14.5 Ohms

According to these guys, this injector (D5B) is the same as Bosch # 0 280 150 943. This is what I have and they work great.

These have the same body as the original 928 injectors, but they have the 4 hole design.

Ok, I had 2 sets of these really nice BMW V8 injectors that i thought about keeping for the 928, but i could never get specs on the injectors from those in the BMW world.

I am 99% sure they are 19# injectors and they are the 4 pindle type, same outside dimensions as the S4 and later injectors so much as i can tell.

So can someone tell me if these would just drop into a 928 (with the other o-ring of course)

I bought and plugged in these from Summit for $280 for the set : ACC-150824; FUEL INJECT. 24LB HI-IMPEDANCE
Since I have an '86 MY, they were plug and play. Benn running fine. They are the 4 hole pintle type, Ford injectors. Can't remember the color, but used to be blue.

Ryan, give me the Bosch number (starts with 0 280 probably) and I will tell you the exact specs on your injectors.

This should help...

Part number for the Design III's is: Bosch Injectors - 0280155710-F6VE

Seems these are the latest design - if they're compatible with my MY1990 GT (Euro) i'd be willing to give them a go.... otherwise the known 4 hole's appear to be the Design II's, but i've not yet got a part number for those - the FiveO website is inconsistent with supplying this info. It's only a phone call to get the info if required....

I've just called FiveO back and the 'Design III's p/n: 0280155710-F6VE' are the same shape as the '19lb/hr Yellow Top Design II's' and are 928 compatible.

Ketchmi - hopefully you can confirm this.... ?

I can confirm these two points for you.

There currently is only one Ford Racing 19# injector, part number M-9593-C302 and it is a 1 hole injector. It is an "orange top" and is manufactured for Ford by Denso.

Hope this helps.

I have the newer 4 pintle ford racing injectors....once the correct O ring was installed they work VERY well....super smooth idle & it feels like a touch more HP!!

If you want exact looking replacements then go with the older (single hole) injectors. The newer (design III) are different looking and have the 4 holes but they are a plug-and-play (given the proper sized O rings). The Ford (single hole) orange tops are 19lb and the blues are 24lb.
