Sorry to hear about the THREE tickets (bad news comes in three's) I would suggest delaying some, you have the right to do it, and sometimes the officer cant make the new scheduled date.

thanks for the google tip, wow great reading..!

The unexpectedly high number of warning tickets prompted Jackson to buy additional warning signs, as well as new reflective signs for 11-W.

“What I’m hoping is that with the reflective signs and all the warning citations that went out in the mail, we won’t be catching these people again,” Jackson said.

A photo enforcement ticket will not affect a motorist’s driving record or have an impact on their insurance premiums. It’s a “civil penalty” the same as receiving a parking ticket.

Well I or the other cars I was driving with never saw any blasted signage..!
As we were in constant communication, and I Hope the points thing is true.

His lights came on immediately, and I thought for sure he was getting her, but he instead got me.... I pleaded for a break and he said he'd see what he could do, only to return and say, "Mr. Schickel, I'm issuing you a citation for 70 in a 55 work zone....."
I don't think I was going more than 60.........

I have a letter written by Mr. Governator (Ahnald) that orders the elimination of the double fine for speed violations in a work zone in California. The reason stated by Mr. Governator was that no safety effect was found to justify the increase in fine amount, since no safety effect was found for lowering the limit. Hard to believe isn't it? Well, facts support his decision. I am searching for that letter and when I find it I will post it. Not tonight though....too much to do tonight.

As for your "rabbit", rest assured that the protectors of truth and the American way, the smokey bears have a ploy whereby they use a slow moving truck or SUV in the left lane of the freeway to slow traffic or interrupt its flow. Along with this decoy, is an unmarked cruiser that lurks in the right lane and waits for some frustrated driver to get pissed off and pass the truck on the right and exceed the limit while doing it. Easy money. Try to remember to scan before passing or letting your emotions take over. It is easy to get pissed and drop the hammer past a left lane hog, even for me. Smokey likes that urge though. As for that rabbit, are you sure you didn't see a government plate on that vehicle???

Here is the letter from our great governator, Mr. Schwarzenegger, that proclaims no safety benefit from double fine construction zones, along with the link to the source:

http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/pub/05-06/..._20050922.html

BILL NUMBER: AB 1384
VETOED DATE: 09/22/2005

To the Members of the California State Assembly:

I am returning Assembly Bill 1384 without my signature.

In December 2002, the Department of Transportation (Caltrans)
submitted to the Legislature a report showing that Safety-Enhancement
Double Fine Zones, by themselves, do not have any statistically

significant effect on traffic safety. Caltrans suggested that if any
future double fine zones are to be effective, they must be
established concurrently with enhanced enforcement, public awareness
campaigns, and other traffic safety measures. Unfortunately, this
bill merely establishes sections of High way Routes 1 and 101 and
County Road 16 in Monterey County as double fine zones without any
additional measures.

Furthermore, this bill would perpetuate the piecemeal process of
using a legislative measure to establish each separate double fine
zone. I encourage the Legislature to consider providing authority to
Caltrans to develop a comprehensive program establishing these zones
along the highest risk roadways and in areas with local governments
that wish to devote extra resources to accomplish the goal of
reducing traffic accident rates on a specific roadway.

For these reasons I cannot support this bill.

Sincerely,

Arnold Schwarzenegger
