FYI - A test of penetrating oils from the April/May 2007 edition of Machinist's Workshop magazine. They measured the force required to loosen a rusty test device.

Pentrating oil / Average load / Price perfluid ounce
None / 516 pounds /
WD-40 / 238 pounds / $0.25
PB Blaster / 214 pounds / $0.35
Liquid Wrench / 127 pounds / $0.21
Kano Kroil / 106 pounds / $0.75
ATF-Acetone mix / 53 pounds / $0.10

The ATF-Acetone mix was mixed 1 to 1 ratio.

Well the ATF and Acetone didn't help.. Neither did the heat. The heat just seemed to soften the bolt and now it is really rounded off!! Don't know what to do now???!!!

JB did you remove the radiator? if not do it.
I would suggest that you may have to get a bigger air compressor, a bigger impact gun and a 6 point 27 mm deep impact socket to remove the nut, A 6 point socket shouldnt be rounding off the crank bolt. If none of this works then you might have to pull out the monster drill and drill the head of the bolt off I still cant imagine whats holding the bolt in the crank unless someone has used some green loctite. Some pictures would be good to post

Yeah, I took out the radiator, so I could get the impact wrench in. Also used the 6 point socket.

Now's the time to drill it out. You have already made room, and if you slip for some reason you can't even damage anything. Once the head is off there won't be any problem, you're going to need a large drill bit though...

Heat the bolt head with a small torch, then put the impact on it. That did it for me when I could not remove mine ( 22 yr old 928S, never had been loose).
I broke my 1/2" drive breaker bar with a pipe. After heating it came right off.
Take your time when you heat it, let the heat soak in.

The belt was fine, but it had only 60 k miles on it. And probably never reved over 2500 RPM.

Well the dang is so rounded smooth now, that the 27mm socket just spins like there is nothing there! I tried to find a bolt extractor, but the biggest I have found is 24mm. Drill it out? How big of a drill if a 750ftlb torque impact gun won't budge it?

24 mm drill might do the trick the idea is to remove the head of the bolt and then you can figure out a way to unscrew the shank. BUT if you have welding equiptment and a knowledgable welder he might be able to weld on another bolt for you to try again

What the others said; remove the head of the bolt somehow with a drill or a grinder. Then you can pull off the pulleys etc. and you are left with the shank of the bolt sticking out from the crank.

Next step is to figure out how to get the shank out. One suggestion was to weld something onto it. Or you could grind some flats onto it & then use one of those super large plumbers wrenches (something like this guy on ebay 290143712262 - this is an example I am not proposing you buy this one): maybe use the ATF & Acetone first as you are much closer to the action now.

Doessnt locite make a solution that penetrates and disolves the loctite with the bolt still installed?
