It does look good. I guess I'm in the minority though. I've always thought it's an ugly intake in general.

New member here that just picked up a '78 last week. Polishing the spider is almost certainly going to be one of my winter projects along with getting all of the bugs worked out of the car.

I did something similar on my old Mark VIII and absolutely loved the look. It did require some maintenance, but wasn't horrible and the 928's seems to have much better access.

Looking Good Angel. Have you been able to drive it yet? Once you drive it a little your motivation will return.

I'll see you on the 29th.

I just put the intake on it yesterday and broke a vacuum hose (see pic below). I thought it wasn't routed correctly so I tried to persuade it but it showed me. It broke at the very bottom so its gonna be fun trying to replace it while minimizing the disassembly. Nothing can be easy for Angel.
The interior still needs to be finished up as well and an alignment. I've got some gremlins that keep hiding screws, nuts, one spark plug wire and all sorts of bits so its always stop and go. I wish they'd go back to hiding one sock.

I will be there on the 29th unless something catastrophic comes up.
