Great video only problem there is no info on the exhaust setup.

Sorry to dig it up. I'm getting tired of the volume of my exhaust so I started looking. The F1 sound site you found has some great audio/video clips. I really like the sound of their exhaust.

 

Let's make one lol what do we need?

You know what I would give to hear a good long duration cam in a 16 valve with a tight lobe separation. Screw the performance gains I would sit and listen to it idle all day. Here's a vid of bimmer with an m30 (3.5 liter sohc) swap. It's nearly stock internally with a big *** turbo and a schrick 288/280 cam on a 110 lsa. I personally think that beemer sounds horrid (only my opinion, means nothing...)
Not to say the car doesn't fly though, maybe a video of it tearing down the track?

 

Their you go. Sounds like a straight six moving. Makes over 500hp though.

Still wish I could figure out how to convert a RealPlayer file to a form uploadable to this site. I have an old clip of the Devek white car in an open road race going by at around 175mph. My all-time favorite exhaust clip, very Indy-car like.

OK, got it converted and uploaded to YouTube.

The famous Devek White Car, going by at about 175mph. IMHO, THAT'S how a 928 should sound!

Must also give credit to Dave Ohlemacher who shot this clip.

 

I always thought the 928 was the sweetest sounding car, but I have been bitten by the V8 bug from a very young age, and it started with Chevys and the illness progressed to Porsches.

Stock they sound good and mean, and sure for a more macho bravado sound, people start swapping parts to less restriction. I like to be able to hear myself think or listen to some music, so I won't go past an x-pipe and high flow cats for mine.

 

Sean great videos. I just decided I like the stock sound. Will my 81 sound like Angela's 90 if I put the stock exhaust back on it?
