Default Anyone know these 3 on ebay?

Anyone know any of these cars listed on ebay, or have any opinions about them? I'm far away from all 3, and the only one near someone I know (who will check it out for me) is the one in Chicago. I figured I'd post here and see what the experts on 928s think

This first one I've seen on Ebay a couple times. It had a bid of 15,877 last time (didn't meet the reserve). It sounds like it has a pretty pricey stereo, and has some other modifications done to it. It's got pretty low miles too.
1989 S4 (Silver)

This second one I haven't seen before and seems to be in real nice shape.
1988 S4 (Silver)

This last one was on Ebay before, and hit 12,001 but didn't hit the reserve. It sounds very nice also, and has low miles.
1988 S4 (White)

All 3 of these look like they are in great condition inside and out...of course pictures can be misleading (especially on ebay). All 3 look good according to autocheck.com too. I have to admit, the one I'm most interested in is the first one...but I'm guessing the reserve on it is around $17,000. The reserve on the 3rd one I'm guessing is either $12,500 or $13,000 since he didn't accept a $12,000 price last time. Any info or opinions would be very helpful!

All three look good and given the price difference are all worth about the same based on condition and options/features. I would want to know a lot more about the "exhaust system" on the first one, could be just an RMB or a X-pipe, which will pass emisions. I don't consider Clerion a high end stereo IMHO. Roger (928s-r-us) could do a PPI on the one in Dallas if your really interested.

On a personal note, I don't like the light inerior colors, they are difficult to keep clean, and they show wear and damage sooner.

Agree that a bit more research is a good idea. The rear bumper looks resprayed, the color is a shade darker.

The Clarion on the dash is actually very high end unlike most of what comes from Clarion these days. This one has some serious specs and I've read that it sounds as good as any other high end player like Nakamichi etc. The rest of the stereo looks nice too if you want something different.

The second one looks to be in excellent condition throughout. Paint appears to match and body panels are aligned judging by the pictures. It doesn't have the newer dash if that makes a difference to you, otherwise it looks great.

The third car looks like it's aged a bit. Can't put my finger on it but it definitely doesn't look as nice as the other two.

Thanks for the info! I've emailed the people selling the one in Chicago to ask them about the exhaust and about the rear bumper. I didn't notice that it seems to be a different color until you pointed it out and I went back to look at the ad again..and sure enough it does appear to be a shade darker.

Richard S - I'm in Montana (Missoula). I haven't found many Porsche 928s near me, so I've been watching Ebay, Craigslist, Autotrader and a few other sites fairly closely the past several months. There was a pretty nice one up in Wenatchee Washington a few months ago on Craigslist (it looked nice in the ad anyway), but it must have sold.

John, my parents live in Plains....I'm flying up there this weekend to work on my project S4 that's at their house.

Did you see this one on Portland Craigslist?

There is also one here in Sacramento that might still be available. I can find his contact info if you're interested...88 auto, blue with white interior, great condition, headers, exhaust, other good upgrades, reasonably priced too.
