Default 928 Nerds unite! Odd hobbies?

Besides owning a 928.....who else has an "odd" hobby?

I started collecting flight gear years ago. I donated most of it to a air museum locally last year....but kept some. Here is whats left.

Replica USAF Thunderbirds helmets from present to the 1950's.

Vf154 Black Knights helmet worn by a F4 pilot in Vietnam while flying off the USS Ranger.

Replica NACA helmet. Predecessor to NASA in the early 1950's.

Vf111 Sundowners ( F14 pilot )

VF84 Jolly Roger (F14 pilot)

Early USAF Bomber helmet

F86 pilot helmet worn in Korea

Helmet worn at the William Tell 1961 competition ( kind of a top gun for the USAF)

I know this is a little OT but I thought it would be interesting to see what else 928 owners may collect. May stir common interests besides our taste in cars.

It's not that far from OT - Most of the people I know think that collecting dying 928's is a odd hobbie

I am into astronomy, and the odd part is that I have spent way too much money on it.

The mount and telescope pictured represent about $17k, and that is just part of the equipment I have amassed.

I am sick in the head.

Airsoft. A bunch of guys that dress up in real military gear and shoot at eachother with BB guns made to exact size and shape as real guns.

Antique clocks. Restored them professionally for 10 years, now for fun. Have over 80 of them, and always looking for more.

I play the role of a Civil War infantry soldier (6th Wisconsin, company B) in various living history and mock battle events...

Nothing quite like firing a very generously measured 71 grains of black powder at your enemy for stress relief.

Default Di$po$able Income$

Wow Martin, horses & sailboats are almost as high maintenance and expensive as your 928!

Is that how you spent your Bush "economic stimulus" cheque?

ON TOPIC: used to race in circles, but now I have no time/$ as we are prepping house for sale....finally finishing the house the way we always wanted it, just to sell......

Regards
Ken

PS, speaking of racing in circles, last Sunday my old 928 set the fastest lap of ALL the cars, including dedicated, fully caged, totally stripped, left-turning-only suspensioned race cars....
