Some of you guys need help...
But seriously, most of my hobbies are starved for time with the 928 sucking the life out of me... uh, I mean with the 928 around.

Besides owning a 928.....who else has an "odd" hobby?
I started collecting flight gear years ago. I donated most of it to a air museum locally last year....but kept some. Here is whats left.
Replica USAF Thunderbirds helmets from present to the 1950's.
Vf154 Black Knights helmet worn by a F4 pilot in Vietnam while flying off the USS Ranger.
Replica NACA helmet. Predecessor to NASA in the early 1950's.
Vf111 Sundowners ( F14 pilot )
VF84 Jolly Roger (F14 pilot)
Early USAF Bomber helmet
F86 pilot helmet worn in Korea
Helmet worn at the William Tell 1961 competition ( kind of a top gun for the USAF)
I know this is a little OT but I thought it would be interesting to see what else 928 owners may collect. May stir common interests besides our taste in cars.

John McCain came to live with us after that, but got shot down on his first mission.
I was on the Oriskany the year before, when we burned.
The Sundowners were our sister squadron on the Oriskany, and flew F-8's in those days.
Thanks for the memories.
I guess that's why we collect things. To help remember.

Very impressive collection Dean. I notice you have a book on the Forrestal there. I was steaming along side, on the Oriskany, during her burn in '67.

I got five Porsches to feed and excercise; I don't have time for hobbies.

Next time you are in Texas be sure and come on down to Austin, and I'll let you shoot some of my big guns that would be illegal in CA! That is one of the things I collect and will list in another post...

Lets see... My personal motto pretty much says it all: "Anything worth doing is worth OVER DOING!"
So, anything I get interested in I go ALL OUT and end up spending inordinate amounts of time and money on, so here is a list... Some of it from YEARS ago, some recent, some current...
Motorcycles -(didn't have time to get above 4 of those, but I was looking for 3-4 more when I broke my back)
R/C planes - I can't even count how many I have had...and have CRASHED!
Guns -(as Jim talked about... all EXTREMELY expensive class 3 gear, no boring crap...well gotta have a few shotguns, hunting rifles, and handguns, but mostly the expensive stuff)
928's - with six already it is a miracle I have time for ANYTHING else
Guitars - I have 10 or 11, I am not sure. 4 custom built just for me...like the guns EXPENSIVE!
Model Railroading - Lionel and the O gauge stuff, also can be expensive
Watches - 22 of them ranging from a $$$ to $$$$! I must be out of my MIND!
A/V gear - 7.1 channel Martin Logan system. 2 channel MBL 101 system... Look them up! Here is the A-gon link: http://forum.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/fr...7330&read&3&4&
Star Wars - Mostly CD's, Vinyl, Posters, DVD's, Laser Disc's (yes, I have an LD player that works AND is hooked up!)
Whippets - we had four but have lost 3 of our babies over the years. One this past Jan... I miss all my babies that are now at Rainbow Bridge
Well, I am sure I am leaving something out, but I can't think of it right now...

Nothing too odd for me… As a kid I collected die cast models in 1/43 scale and general car stuff, my dad still has most of it. Used to skydive a bit (D license). Now am into traveling, photography and history of New York City – if you don’t mind walking, come and visit – I’ll give ya’ll a tour
